CHISM July 7, 1941 Nov. 8, 2017 Bonnie Rae Chism, 76, of Aztec, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, in Aztec. She was born July 7, 1941, in San Luis Obispo, Calif. the daughter of Fern and Lamont Johnson.

Bonnie was an amazing woman of God. All who met her knew how strong her love for the Lord was. She was dedicated and loyal to her husband and family, this included her extended family, which is huge. Bonnie is very loved by her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, which is a testament to how big her heart was. She was known as the to everyone.

She shared her hugs and love with each and every person she came in contact with. Bonnie and Al shared over 61 years together with adventures from California to Japan and eventually New Mexico. She lived a full beautiful life and touched the hearts of many. She will be deeply missed by all, including her loving pets. Bonnie was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Rae Chism; parents, Lamont and Fern Johnson; and brother, Robert (Bob) Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, George Allan Chism; son, Bruce (Dorothy) Chism; daughter, Tami (Tony) Haines; brother, William Johnson; sister, Norma (Fred) McDonnell; grandchildren, Joshua (Hannah) Haines, Kimberly Chism, Andrea (AJ) Hurlbut, Rebecca (Adam) Bailey and Chris Chism; great- grandchildren, Reece, Ariee, David, Caytin, Rhett, and many, many nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Bonnie will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Aztec Cemetery, 700 Chamisa Ave. in Aztec with Chuck Lanza officiating.

Pallbearers are Bruce Chism, Chris Chism, AJ Hurlbut, Adam Bailey, Tony Haines, Jim Spratlen and Jay Howard. Farmington MILTON E. SIFFORD Dec. 8, 1934 Nov. 7, 2017 Milton Earl Sifford, 82, of Farmington, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, surrounded by family at his home in Farmington.

He was born Dec. 8, 1934, in McAllen, Texas the son of Willis and Wilma Sifford. Milton spent much of his youth in nearby Chama. After graduating from Chama High School, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy.

After completion of his naval service he returned to Chama where he met his wife, Bessie Gonzales. They started a family and moved to Farmington. He supported his family working as a Union Construction electrician. Milton held a private license and flying was a favorite hobby which he truly enjoyed. He loved adventure and soon took his family to Anchorage, Alaska where they lived for seven years.

Transportation in Alaska was primarily by air or water. Much to his delight he found himself in a paradise. He was able to fly his own plane to many villages and remote work sites scattered throughout Alaska. In addition, Milton was a highly skilled mechanic. He took pride in working on his airplanes and family vehicles always keeping them in top working condition.

Milton loved learning and was a lifelong student of many subjects. His true passion was studying the Bible and he truly enjoyed sharing the Gospel with everyone he met. Milton was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He dearly loved his family and friends that include Jerry Moore, Dennis Elliott, George Zumwalt, Mac McKinney, the Gonzales families, the Atencio families and the Velasquez family. Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Wilma Sifford; and a sister, Darlene Johnson.

He leaves behind his wife Bessie; sons, Jason (Debbie), Shawn (Julie), Kevin, Jonathon (Tia); brother, Glen Carter; sister, Helen Williams; grandchildren, Shandi, Bethany, Austin, ShaiAnne and Eliza, and many dear friends. 25, 2017, at her residence in Farmington. She was born April 21, 1961, in Jonesboro, N.C. Mona Lisa was to those who knew her, what old was to John Denver. She was the definition of a loving, devoted wife and mother. She made the greatest meatloaf, was the best spades partner and gave the warmest hugs.

Mona Lisa greeted everyone who walked through her door as or She had a bottomless heart for love and kindness. She made everyone feel like a part of her family. The world is a better place because of Mona Lisa. Mona Lisa was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ernie Hunsaker. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Julian Paul Hunsaker; son, John Johnson; daughters, Ashley Hunsaker and Jennifer Johnson; daughter-in-law, Ashlee Johnson; and mother-in-law, Betty (chickie) Hunsaker.

3, 1935 Nov. 5, 2017 Frank Ortiz, 81, of Farmington, passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, in Farmington. He was born Dec. 3, 1935, in Phoenix to Leo and Elena Ortiz.

Frank graduated from Phoenix Technical School in 1955 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as an aviation mechanic until 1959. In 1960, he married Stella Reyes in Phoenix. He brought his family to Farmington when his employer, Arizona Public Service transferred him in 1969.

His employment at APS continued until his retirement in 1990. Frank enjoyed the outdoors and each year anticipated his annual hunting trips. He spent many years as a member of the San Juan Wildlife Federation where he attended many silhouette shooting matches. After he retired, he became a golf enthusiast and spent many years appreciating the sport. Even after his retirement, he was always working on a project or repair and never hesitated to take on a job.

He took joy in helping others when in need. Frank loved his pets and had a special affection for his cat, Yeti. Frank loved the Lord and was dedicated to his family. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Elena Ortiz; sister, Helen Lopez; and brother, Ernesto Ortiz. He is survived by his son, David, daughter, Sylvia, nephews, Fred Lopez Jr.

and Steve Mendoza; nieces, Anna Lopez-Fierro and Bernadette Hernandez; and sister-in-law, Diane Mendoza. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13 at Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St.

A graveside service for Frank will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington with Pastor Keith Corley officiating.

Red Mesa, Colo. RICHARD B. EATON Feb. 11, 1939 Nov. 8, 2017 Richard Burgess Eaton, 78, of Red Mesa, passed away Wednesday, Nov.

8, 2017, at his home in Red Mesa, Colo. He was born Feb. 11, 1939, in Durango, Colo. to Darrel Rodolphus and Thelma Slade Eaton. Richard was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Richard and Lorrie were married Aug. 18, 1962. Sealed in the Manti, Utah Temple on Sep. 28, 1968. He served in the U.S.

Navy from 1957 to 1961. He was a Masonry Contractor for over 30 years. Richard loved flying and owned his own plane for four years. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert (Bob) Darrel Eaton of N.M., one sister, Ramona Ellen Eaton Nixon of two sons, Richard Ira (Richie) Eaton of Farmington and David Eaton of Red Mesa, Colo. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lorretta Kaye (Lorrie) Hartsock Eaton of Red Mesa, one son, Gregory James (Greg) Eaton (Ginger), of Red Mesa, one daughter, Deanne Eaton Bagley (Don) of Aztec, four grandchildren, Julie Ann Bagley Dehart (Ryan) of Pueblo West, Sarah Nicole Bagley of Aztec, Justin Wayne Patterson of Durango, Kristina Elizabeth (Krissy) Patterson Gallegos (Shane) of Farmington, two great- grandchildren, Robert (Robbie) Edwin Gallegos and Mia KayAnn Gallegos of Farmington, and one sister, Rosemary Eaton Foutz (Bruce) of Hemet, Calif.

Graveside services for Richard will be at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 11 at the Kline Community Cemetery in Kline, Colo. with Bishop Merle Whitaker officiating. Interment to follow.
